CINCINNATI - Jurors visited the scene of a triple homicide Wednesday before the trial of the shooting suspect Mark Pickens begins.

Mark Pickens is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, Noelle Washington, her 9-month-old son Anthony Jones and 3-year-old Sharailyn Wright whom Washington was baby-sitting at the time of her murder.

Prosecutors said Pickens killed Washington because she had filed rape charges against him the day before. Pickens allegedlly shot Wright because she could identify him as the man who raped her, Hamilton County prosecutors said.

Noelle Washington, her 9-month-old son Anthony Jones and 3-year-old Sharailyn Wright murdered in June of 2010.

Police described the shootings as "execution style" and at close range. Noelle Washington was shot in the head as she held 9-month-old Jones before the infant was shot through the forehead. 3 year old Sharailyn Wright, according to coroner's findings, covered her eyes with her hands and was shot through one of her hands and into her head.

Pickens claims that he was never at the shooting scene and is innocent.

Jurors on Wednesday visited the 13th Street apartment where all three died on June 2nd 2009. The apartment building is now painted with memorials to the three victims - the youngest which was 3 months old.

Washington's neighbors said the crimes still haunt them.

"That used to be my apartment. Six months before she got killed in there, that was my apartment," said Mae Hurt. "The guy had us all shocked. We're still shocked around here."

Opening statements in the trial are scheduled to begin Thursday morning, April 15th 2010.
