Markalo White Armed Robbery SuspectCOLERAIN TOWNSHIP - Two teens accused of a robbery in Colerain Township have been arrested, charged and released.

Investigators say Markalo White, 18, and his 17-year-old unnamed accomplice were carrying handguns when they stole a woman's cell phone, credit cards and car keys at Town Terrace Apartments on Sunday evening.

The victim was not hurt. The teens went up to the woman, told her to get on the ground and give up her car keys and belongings. The teens took off on foot and were arrested around 9:30 p.m. at the Northgate Mall.

White is charged with aggravated robbery and was taken to the Criminal Justice Center. The 17-year-old was also charged as an Adult with aggravated robbery and is awaiting a hearing to determined if he will be tried as an adult.

While the robbery remains under investigation, White, charged with a Felony 1, has already posted 10% of his questionably low $15,000 bond. White is out on the streets on this bond until his next court appearance February 9th where the Grand Jury will decide if he will be indicted for Aggravated Robbery.

UPDATE 08/22/2011
Mr. White was found Guilty of Aggravated Robbery and Robbery and sentenced to 5 years in prison for each charge, to be served concurrently (or simultaneously) by Judge Jerome Metz by entering into plea bargain. In exchange the Kidnapping and GTA charges were dropped by the State of Ohio.
