Fishers burglary suspects may be linked to other crimes

FISHERS - Two men, who detectives believe are responsible for several recent burglaries in Fishers, were arrested Monday night after allegedly kicking in the door of a home on Bradford Knoll Drive.

A homeowner called police around 8:30 p.m. telling dispatchers that a man just kicked in his front door. Remaining calm enough to give police information vital to the sreest of the men - he was able to give police a description of the suspect and two separate vehicles that might have been involved.

Fishers Police tracked down one of the suspect vehicles three minutes later in the 11200 block of Cumberland Road. Police identified the driver as Dennis Lamont James, 21, Indianapolis. The passenger, Andre Deon Johnson, 18, matched the description of the man who kicked in the victim’s door.

Detectives questioned the men and ultimately arrested them on burglary and possession of marijuana charges. Johnson was also charged with dealing marijuana.


This break-in allegedly occurred at 9600 Bradford Knoll Drive in Fishers the night of March 14th 2011.

Police are still looking for the second vehicle, a 2005 tan Jeep Grand Cherokee what was stolen from a residence in Fishers on Feb. 25. Police say man driving it is only identified by the name “Boo.”

Preliminary evidence in the Monday night break-in indicates the suspects may be involved in other burglaries, Fishers Police said in a news release.
