Map Displays High-Crime Areas In Indianapolis Area

All too often, local television news is over-whelmed by the large amount of violent crime that occurs in major cities in America. We, as Americans, are one of the most violent nations on Earth and we are not even at war domestically... The amount of crime is staggering and makes for a sober reality.
At the top of this post is an interactive map displaying many types of crimes that have taken place in the past year in Indianapolis and the out-lying area.
The second image displays the density of burglaries and thefts from January to March of 2012. Red signifies a large amount of crime and yellow area are a lesser amount.
