Six Indianapolis men held a family hostage for hours while raping and robbing them.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. - Indianapolis man Adrian Anthony is suspect in two home invasion investigations and is being charged with Murder for a separate shooting.

Adrian Anthony was charged with murder and robbery Monday in the shooting death of Robbie Gibson on North Gray Street November 27th 2013. Anthony was arrested Saturday in connection with home invasions on Spring Mill Road and East 79th Street in October.

Police say Gibson and his brother were working at a home on North Gray Street when they were approached by Anthony and Christopher Bell. Anthony fatally shot Gibson after pulling out a handgun and demanding money.

Bell is also facing murder and robbery charges. Anthony was also charged with carrying a handgun without a license.

"The IMPD detectives and our deputy prosecutors should be commended for their diligent and painstaking work in investigating and charging these crimes," Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said. "It is our hope that the arrests of those alleged to be involved in these crimes will bring some reassurance to the public."

Anthony is one of 11 suspects arrested and charged in connection with the two home invasions. Four suspects have been charged in both crimes.

Speaking from the Marion County Jail, Anthony talked about his involvement in one of the home invasion incidents.

"It was an open house. You could see the flatscreen, what it looked like. So it was easy, so we stopped right there," he said.

Anthony said all he wanted from the two home invasions was money. He says he went with the victims to the ATM machine but didn't beat or sexually assault anyone.

"I wasn't the raper, the aggressor, I made the threat and let them know there were boundaries. If they think I'm playing a game, what will happen. Stuff will go to the next level, like where I'm going to be that monster." he said.

Anthony was arrested at 30th and College Saturday night following a brief chase. Police had been searching for him for more than a month. He says he wasn't hiding. He was living on the streets and while at a gas station, "a cop stood right next to me. I got a smile on my face, if I'm that big of a monster how come he didn't recognize me?"

As for whether or not he feels any remorse?

"I do want to apologize. This ain't nothing no one wants to go through. I want them to know, yeah, I'm sorry it had to be you, but it's not like I plotted on you all, like you're all the main topic; we got to get them. I'm sorry we stopped at your place. There was no certain person." he said.

"I'm going to be that monster."
