Elderly Woman Brutally Raped In Over The Rhine

CINCINNATI - Police are looking for the man they say raped, stabbed and tortured a 62-year-old Over-The-Rhine woman in the early hours of December 16th 2009. Harris was the maintenance man in the building where the attack occurred.
Investigators say 35-year-old Jarvis Harris attacked the elderly woman in the hallway of her own apartment building, at the 200 block of Clifton Avenue, around 8 AM Wednesday morning. Police say Harris hit struck his victim over her head with a hammer, stabbed her several times, then raped and tortured the elderly over the course of four hours. Police were not notified of the brutal rape until nearly 1 PM that day.
Jarvis Harris is still at large. He is wanted for for Rape, Felonious Assault, Kidnapping, and Aggravated Burglary.
The 62-year old victim is currently in the hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Suspected rapist Jarvis Harris has been apprehended downtown. Harris faces a 9AM arraignment for Burglary, Rape and Aggravated Assault.

Jarvis Harris has been convicted of Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, Rape and Aggravated Assault and sentenced to 40 years in prison and permanently classified as a Tier III (3) Sex Offender for life. However, lawyers acting his behalf have filed a Motion to Vacate his sentence in July of 2011. If granted, Jarvis Harris would be freed from prison pending re-trial.
However, this motion was denied in August of 2011 by Judge Robert Winkler and Harris has been since transported to Lebanon Correctional Facity to begin his sentence. He is projected to be released December 9th 2049 when Harris is 77 years old.
