IMPD Seeking Witnesses In Shooting Death

16-year-old Stephen Moore INDIANAPOLIS - Police believe the teen gunned down on an Indianapolis street Sunday the night of the 16th was in the area to meet someone, and they’re now seeking the public’s help to find those people.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers called just before 9 p.m. Sunday to the area of 32nd Street and Keystone Avenue on a report of a person shot found Raymond Green, 19, lying in the roadway in the 2300 block of 32nd Street. He was shot at least once, police said, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing, and IMPD is asking for the public’s help in finding those who were with Green when he died. Green was a senior at Metropolitan High School where he was a basketball player.

Homicide detectives did not release any further details about any motives behind Green’s slaying.


The area where Raymond Green was found shot on Sunday around 9pm on October the 16th 2011.

IMPD is also looking for a dark-color midsize car that was seen in the area. Anyone with information should call IMPD Homicide at 327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous, and Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to felony arrests.
